It’s been a whole term since Blaze, the school dog, joined Worple and we are really pleased with how well he has settled into school life. He is now 8 months old and his training is going well. He has already passed his Puppy Foundation course with distinction and will be assessed early next year in order to receive his Kennel Club Bronze award.
In his first term at Worple he has met all the children and staff, visited every classroom, sat in school assemblies and listened to children read. We have also introduced ‘Blaze Time’ a special reward for children who have been putting in extra effort at school. Just this week Blaze spent some time in Early Years and met some visitors from Charlotte House Care Home for the elderly. Both the children and visitors loved spending time with him and getting in some furry cuddles.
